Solid power rankings and takes on each team. Completely agree with your placement of the Eagles...they need to be more consistent to be higher. The Giants might be a little too high for my tastes...record aside this team hasn't be all that impressive this season. However, with six straight games against tough opponents, we'll see how good New York actually is.

Enjoy the games this weekend.

Cheers!

Nah Cena isn't turning heel. If he turns heel RAW will lose viewers... kids. It would lose ticket sales. As much as people hate Cena, there's a lot of demand for him. Cena wouldn't turn heel until his merchandise sales die. They haven't died, but he hasn't come out with new merch since January. An entire generation would get turned off.

I've been at a store and a kid didn't want a John Cena shirt... why? Because he lost to CM Punk at Money in the Bank. It impacts their smallest viewers and those parents buy their kids stuff.

I've liked Zack Ryder for a while, and it's good to see he's getting some exposure, even though he basically created it without much help from WWE. But I think WWE is in trouble because they refuse to push new talent, and rely to heavily on established stars like Cena and Orton or old stars like The Rock and Austin.

Here we have Cena chasing the WWE title for 1,000th time, and it's boring, we've seen this before. CM Punk could be the main guy in the WWE if they would push him properly, but he just like Ryder basically had to take it upon himself to get himself over the way he needed to be and the WWE is just piggy backing off of the efforts Punk and Ryder have put into creatng their own characters.

Mike, my brother from another planet,

I am of the opinion that you can be valid and correct in this post AND that I can offer an opposing view and also be correct.

Spotify is awesome, but it isn't for everyone and it has room for improvement. If ANYTHING, it has increased my music listening frequency about 20 times over in this past week.

"All you can eat" is a killer app. Getting the buffet to have your favorite food is the tough part. But here's where I say that doesn't matter.

Spotify allows you to add your own music library (read: whatever Spotify doesn't have in its library for you) AND it allows you to wirelessly sync it to your mobile devices. Yes, including your own music. Uh, buh bye iTunes! OK, true, iOS5 is changing all of that, but all it can sync is what you have bought or stolen, not a dynamic playlist.

See, if I subscribe to a friend's playlist and tell it to sync to my phone for offline listening, new songs added to the list by my friend will automatically get synced to my phone. That's pretty awesome. Think of how mixtapes for girlfriends would have never ended if we had this (OK, if I had this) back in high school!

Next point: you are not accurate in saying you can't add people outside of Facebook. All you need is their handle on Spotify and if they have anything published, you can see it and subscribe to it.

Also, sharing options are not confined to Facebook only, although they could use some expanding. You can indeed share directly to Twitter, other Spotify users on your list and email. Stop laughing. Sometimes email IS the answer. Also available is the ability to copy the track, album or artist or playlist URL and paste into whatever sharing mechanism you wish manually. That is what I have been doing in sharing to Google+. I like how it grabs the thumbnail and the info of the track into a tidy post. Other Spotify users need only click the link and be instantly listening to the same song you posted. I have been doing exactly that to discover tracks posted by friends and strangers on Google+ this past week and have already discovered some cool stuff that way.

Regarding song recommendations, yeah Spotify would do well to integrate something of the sort. Imagine if Pandora and Spotify had a love child. It would be beautiful. But there are workarounds available for the Spotify fans that want suggestions/genius lists: Spotibot.com. It will create lists you can drag and drop into Spotify (NICE!) based on an artist or based on anyone's last.fm feed. You can tweak it to show more new music or keep it closer to the heart. I have two active lists using this method and will refresh them once I am done with them.

You talk about advertising. Ads are in Grooveshark's free version. I can't handle it there and would probably hate it in Spotify, too. But I jumped right in and paid for the premium membership because to me, the killer app is having all of this music in the palm of my hand NOW, not after buying individual tracks foir 99 cents then plugging in my phone and syncing it in iTunes on a Windows machine which is such a painful experience.

The chains have been broken and I actually enjoy listening to music now, rather than dismiss it entirely due to lack of interest in the tedious process it takes just to get up and running.

A note to jailbreakers and iPhone users that like to constantly update and experiment with their phones: Sucks putting all that music back every single time, does't it? Do your thing, install Spotify. Done.

The streaming to my phone on 3G has been fairly reliable as well. There are dead spots in any city and I know where they are in my area and the service was affected in them. But the quality of the streaming (you can set it to stream the high bit rate stuff) is night and day better than the crap I get on a free Pandora account. AND I got to choose the music.

Shuffle works when I feel like switching it up, but I am old school and usually love a good album, start to finish. See, like you said when there's stuff I share that you don't like. That's life, man. I like this interface, you don't. You're used to iTunes, I hate it. Tomato, tomato. It's all good. No sense berating other for their choice in music solutions (not saying you are, but it's rampant on social media this past week esp.)

OK, that's about it. Want to check out what I starred or the playlists I am working on but don't want to friend me on Facebook? Just type spotify:user:heyjosh in your spotify search field and add me. Enjoy.

I love how we got to be the generation that went though walkmans, to diskmans, to the short-lasted phase of mini-disk players (yes I was lucky enough to have one of those).. to mp3 players! And of course, when the only way to fix a nintendo was to either a) kick it or b) blow into it.. Which by the way, seemed to work every time!

Nice post! It actually left me, ironically, a little bit nostalgic!
