“The Lion King Rises” – Hilarious Parody Trailer Mashup of The Lion King/The Dark Knight Rises
Guess who’s back!
Sorry folks, I left Manimals hanging last year due to issues in my professional and personal life, but hopefully 2012 will be a prosperous one.
To kick things off, here’s a clip of an awesome mashup of footage from The Lion King with the audio from the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. It’s one of the things that helped my new year start with a smile. In my pants.
Awesome stuff.
Look for more from me soon!
Ren Stimpy Creator John K. Whips Up Manic Simpsons Couch Gag
Interesting spin on a TV institution. “Interesting” doesn’t do it justice, but my thesaurus is out of reach at the moment.

I Am Your Father Reaction
This video is pretty awesome. I can’t recall when I first found this out, but I was probably the same age as this kid, watching Empire on cable or VHS. Totally one of the biggest twists in film history, but in today’s age, it will be really hard to keep this twist from my future children.
Hopefully just future CHILD, but I don’t know what damage I might have done already.
Imperial March by Floppy Disk Drives
This is all kinds of nerdy awesome. About 4 people will appreciate this. The rest of you will go to hell.
The X-Men Guide to Puberty
This is all kinds of hilarious. X-Men was always a nice metaphor for growing up, and this just drives home that point.

As we were all hanging around during the afternoon, still fresh from lounging on the beach, I decided that we needed some nice ambient music to play in the background, so I went to Turntable.fm to pull up some good tunes. As I fiddled around, my friends gathered around and were amazed at what they were seeing, and demanded I explain the concept to them. I was, of course, totally stunned, because I had assumed everyone and their grandmother had heard about the fervor generated by Turntable.fm and how it was blowing up on the Web. My friends assured me that I come from a different planet populated by social awkward morons who wear jeans and hoodies year round, and would be well served to explain what the hell Turntable.fm was to the masses. And so, here we are.
